This comprehensive guide will walk you through the essential concepts and practical steps needed to master this topic. By the end of this article, you'll have a solid understanding of the key principles and be ready to implement them in your workflow.
Most tools give you one credit pool for everything and you burn through it faster than you expect.
Oppora works differently.
Instead of one shared pool, it uses three separate credit types and each designed for a specific kind of action.
That means your AI credits don't compete with your enrichment credits, and you always know exactly where your usage is going.
In this guide, you'll learn:
Oppora keeps things clean by giving each activity its own credit type.
There are three in total:
Each type is tracked independently, so using one never affects the others.
Each credit type has a clear job.
And here's a breakdown of exactly what each one covers and what one credit gets you.
Data credits power everything related to finding and verifying contact information.
Note:

Phone credits have one focused purpose: getting you on the phone with the right people.
AI credits power every intelligent action Oppora takes on your behalf from writing emails to running agentic tasks.
Note:

Credits are deducted at the moment an action is performed — not when you start a search or set up a workflow.
Think of it this way: you only pay when something actually happens.
Each action pulls from its respective credit pool. A lead enrichment pulls from Data Credits, a phone lookup pulls from Phone Credits, and an AI-generated email pulls from AI Credits. They never cross over or compete with each other.
A few important things to keep in mind:
The best way to understand credit consumption is to see it in action. Here are real workflow examples across each credit type.
There are four common ways you'll find and build your lead lists in Oppora. Each follows a slightly different path — and consumes credits differently.
You use AI Lead Finder to search for prospects matching your ICP. Oppora returns a list of leads.
Example: You run 1 AI Lead Finder search and get 50 leads. You find emails for all 50. Total: 1 AI Credit + 50 Data Credits
You use Oppora's Finder manually with filters to find leads and add them to a list.
Example: You manually search and add 100 leads to a list. You find emails for 80 of them (20 return no result and are not charged). Total: 80 Data Credits
You use AI Company Finder to identify target companies, save them to a list, find leads within those companies, then search for their emails.
Example: You run 1 AI Company Finder search and get 20 companies.
You find 5 leads per company (100 leads total) and search emails for all 100.
Total: 1 AI Credit + 100 Data Credits (leads) + 100 Data Credits (emails) = 1 AI Credit + 200 Data Credits
You manually search and filter companies, save them to a list, pull leads from within that list, then find their emails.
Example: You manually find and save 15 companies. You pull 4 leads per company (60 leads) and find emails for all 60. Total: 60 Data Credits (leads) + 60 Data Credits (emails) = 120 Data Credits
When you upload contacts manually into Oppora, you can enrich or verify them using your Data Credits. Here's how each enrichment type works.
You upload a list of leads and enrich each contact with data like company name, industry, size, and revenue.
Example: You upload 200 contacts and enrich all of them. Total: 200 Data Credits
You have a list of contacts without emails and want Oppora to find verified emails for them.
Example: You upload 150 contacts and Oppora finds emails for 120 of them (30 return no result and are not charged). Total: 120 Data Credits
You want to add phone numbers to your uploaded contact list.
Example: You upload 100 contacts and Oppora finds phone numbers for 75 of them. Total: 75 Phone Credits
You already have emails in your list and want to verify them before launching a campaign.
Example: You upload 300 contacts with emails and verify all of them. Total: 300 Data Credits
AI Credits come into play across several points in your outreach workflow. Here's how each feature consumes credits in practice.
Example: You generate personalised emails for 50 leads, score all 50, and send 3 Ask Ora messages to set up a workflow. Total: 50 AI Credits (emails) + 50 AI Credits (scoring) + 15 AI Credits (Ask Ora) = 115 AI Credits
When you run a workflow in Oppora, each action step inside it consumes 1 AI Credit when it executes.
On top of that, each individual result — every company found, every lead found, every email found — consumes its respective Data Credit separately.
The only exception is duplicates — if a record already exists in your list, no credit is deducted for that result.
Example: Your workflow runs all 3 steps. It finds 20 companies, pulls 5 leads per company (100 leads), and finds emails for all 100.
3 companies and 5 leads were duplicates.
Total: 3 AI Credits (one per action) + 17 Data Credits (companies) + 95 Data Credits (leads) + 95 Data Credits (emails) = 3 AI Credits + 207 Data Credits
Example: Your workflow runs 2 steps.
It finds 75 leads (10 are duplicates) and searches emails for all 65 new leads.
Total: 2 AI Credits (one per action) + 65 Data Credits (leads) + 65 Data Credits (emails) = 2 AI Credits + 130 Data Credits
Not everything in Oppora costs credits. Here are the actions you can take without touching your credit balance.
Searching for companies and leads manually through Oppora's Finder is completely free. You can filter, browse, and explore as much as you need before adding anyone to a list.
That said, a fair usage policy applies. There is a monthly cap on manual searches to ensure platform performance stays consistent for everyone.
Sending emails and automated follow-ups does not consume any credits. The only limit here is the number of unique recipients you can reach per month, which is determined by your plan.
Once you have your leads and emails ready, you can run your outreach without worrying about credit consumption at any step.
On any paid plan, sending LinkedIn connection requests is free. You can automate LinkedIn outreach as part of your workflow without it touching your AI or Data Credit balance.
Keeping track of your usage is straightforward.
Head to Billing in the left-hand navigation panel and click on Credit Usage.
You'll find a full breakdown of how your Data, Phone, and AI credits are being consumed — updated in real time so you always know exactly where you stand.
Sometimes you hit your credit limit mid-month without needing a full plan upgrade. That's exactly what add-ons are designed for.
If you're running a large outreach push, enriching a big uploaded list, or using AI features heavily for a specific campaign, purchasing additional credits lets you keep going without changing your plan or losing any existing benefits.
Available credit add-on options:
Add-on credits sit alongside your existing plan credits and are consumed after your plan credits are used up. They do not affect your billing cycle or renewal date.
Add-on vs. upgrading your plan — if you're consistently running out of credits every month, upgrading your plan is likely the more cost-efficient path. Add-ons are best for occasional spikes, not regular shortfalls.
Your actions that require that specific credit type will pause. Other credit types remain unaffected and fully functional.
Yes. You can buy Data, Phone, and AI credit add-ons anytime from the Billing section without upgrading your plan.
Add-on credits follow your billing cycle. Check the Billing section for expiry details specific to your purchased add-on.
Go to Billing in the left-hand navigation and click Credit Usage for a real-time breakdown of all three credit types.
No. Leads found through Oppora's Finder come pre-enriched. Enrichment credits only apply to manually uploaded contacts.
